At Commando Outdoor, the mission was never to sell flashy or gimmicky gear like many outdoor brands do. The company was created out of urgency and a genuine need to solve real problems that others overlooked.

One of those problems was skin conditions that came from long days in the field. Sweat, grime, harsh weather, and constant gear friction were taking a toll.

From military personnel, Navy SEALS to first responders and people working in harsh outdoor environments, people were dealing with cracked skin, rashes, irritation, and inflammation. Since no products were made to address this, we created our own. We built tough, chemical-free skincare designed for challenging conditions.

Commando Outdoor was founded by brothers Mike and Carl Coleman, both Army soldiers, police officers, and volunteer firemen. Their products are shaped by firsthand experience and a deep understanding of the real needs of those they served beside. When traditional agencies and the military couldn’t meet these needs, the Colemans stepped in. They started with the problem and worked backward to create solutions. This approach is what makes their gear effective, trustworthy, and different. It’s now used by a growing group of environmentally conscious individuals committed to the mission.

Our Mission

At Commando Outdoor, our mission is to protect the protectors. Born from the experiences of U.S. Army soldiers operating in some of the harshest environments on Earth, we saw firsthand the toll that cold, wind, altitude, and long ruck marches took on the skin. Skin damage wasn’t just uncomfortable, it was a serious, long-term health issue. Too many veterans return home only to face chronic skin conditions that could’ve been prevented in the field. That's why we created Warrior Wax, a powerful, chemical-free balm developed using traditional Amish wisdom and raw, natural ingredients. Built to hydrate, protect, and restore, our products are crafted for soldiers, first responders, and outdoor warriors who face the elements head-on. With every formula, we aim to provide tactical skincare that works as hard as the men and women who serve.
